Questions

Frequently Asked

A starting point. If something isn’t answered here, just reach out.

How do I apply for a puppy?

Fill out the application on the Apply page. We read every application personally — it tells us what kind of dog will be the best match for your family.

What does a Boulder Mountain Doodles puppy cost?

[TODO(julie): set pricing for Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles, deposit amount, and what the price includes (vet care, microchip, starter pack, etc.).]

How does the waitlist work?

When you’re approved we add you to the waitlist for the breed you’re interested in. As litters develop we reach out to families on the list, talk through the puppies’ temperaments, and match each puppy to the right family — not strictly first-come, first-served.

Do you ship puppies?

[TODO(julie): clarify — pickup only? in-cabin flight nanny? ground transport partner? Pricing for travel?]

Are your dogs health-tested?

Yes. Every breeding parent is health-tested before being bred. See the Health Tested page for details on what we screen for and what each puppy receives before going home.

What size will my puppy be as an adult?

Adult size depends on the breeding. Each litter announcement will include expected adult weight range based on the parents. Goldendoodles in our program tend toward [TODO size]; Bernedoodles toward [TODO size].

When do puppies go home?

Puppies go home at 8 weeks, after their first vet check and starting their vaccinations. We send them home with food, a familiar blanket, and everything you need to settle in.

What if my situation changes and I can’t keep the puppy?

We will always take a Boulder Mountain dog back — at any age, for any reason. Please reach out to us first.
